Cyclovir 5% Cream is used to treat Recurrent herpes labialis (cold sores). It contains acyclovir, which exerts antiviral activity against herpes simplex viruses (HSV) by interfering with DNA synthesis and limiting viral replication. Common side effects of Cyclovir 5% Cream may include Dry lips, desquamation (scaling or peeling off), dryness of skin, cracked lips, scorching skin, pruritus, flakiness of skin, and stinging on the skin.

साइक्लोविर 5% क्रीम हर्पीज सिम्प्लेक्स और वैरिसेला-जोस्टर वायरस के कारण होने वाले वायरल संक्रमण का इलाज करता है। इसमें एसाइक्लोविर, एक एंटीवायरल दवा शामिल है। यह वायरस को मारकर और उसके विकास को रोककर काम करता है। साइक्लोविर 5% क्रीम हर्पीज सिम्प्लेक्स एन्सेफलाइटिस (हर्पीज सिम्प्लेक्स वायरस द्वारा मस्तिष्क की सूजन) और नवजात हर्पीज सिम्प्लेक्स वायरस संक्रमण का प्रभावी ढंग से इलाज करता है। साइक्लोविर 5% क्रीम अस्थि मज्जा प्रत्यारोपण के बाद सीरोपॉजिटिव (किसी विशेष एंटीबॉडी के लिए रक्त परीक्षण का सकारात्मक परिणाम दिखाना) रोगियों में साइटोमेगालोवायरस संक्रमण के पुनर्सक्रियन को रोकने में भी उपयोगी है।
