Dependal-M Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections, dysentery and diarrhoea. It contains furazolidone and metronidazole, which kill the parasites and bacteria that cause infections. In some cases, this medicine may cause side effects such as nausea, dry mouth, headache, metallic taste, and discolouration of urine. Inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any other medication, or have any pre-existing medical conditions.

Drug-Drug Interaction: This medicine may have an interaction with antiparkinson’s medicine (selegiline, rasagiline, apomorphine), a medicine used in cough (dextromethorphan), antiallergic (phenylephrine, pseudoephedrine), medicine for the fit disorder (phenobarbital), medicine for enlarged prostate gland (a gland between the bladder and penis) (alfuzosin), medicine for heart disease (amiodarone), antibiotic (clarithromycin), antacid (omeprazole).

Drug-Food Interaction: Dependal-M Tablet interacts with foods with high tyramine. Avoid drinking alcohol as it may lead to an unpleasant reaction with symptoms like stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, flushing, headache or redness of the face.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Dependal-M Tablet may interact in patients with liver disease and gastrointestinal disease.
