Bid-HB Syrup is used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). It contains Ferrous ascorbate and Folic acid, which work by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. In some cases, it may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, stomach upset, or constipation. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Bid-HB Syrup may interact with certain antibiotics (tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, chloramphenicol, cotrimoxazole) and antacids (calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium trisilicate).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid intake of dairy products, coffee, tea, or eggs with Bid-HB Syrup at the same time, as they may reduce the absorption of Bid-HB Syrup .

Drug-Disease Interactions: Before taking Bid-HB Syrup , inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions, such as active bacterial infections, hemolytic anaemia, hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis, stomach ulcers, ulcerative colitis, or enteritis.
