Alcon Prednisolone Acetate Eye Drop 5 ml contains prednisolone, a corticosteroid medicine. It works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling.

Use Alcon Prednisolone Acetate Eye Drop 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Alcon Prednisolone Acetate Eye Drop 5 ml are application site burning or stinging sensation, redness and temporary blurred vision. Thus, relieves redness, swelling, irritation, and discomfort.<br/>• Post-Surgical Inflammation: Alcon Prednisolone Acetate Eye Drop 5 ml may also be used to reduce post-operative inflammation after eye surgeries.<br/>• Allergic Conjunctivitis: Alcon Prednisolone Acetate Eye Drop 5 ml can be used in patients with allergic conjunctivitis to relieve eye inflammation and irritation caused by allergens such as dust, pollen, or pet dander.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
