About Lozivate-3S Lotion

Lozivate-3S Lotion is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat eczema and psoriasis. Eczema is a skin condition associated with inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches. Psoriasis is a skin disease in which skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales.

Lozivate-3S Lotion contains Clobetasol propionate (corticosteroid) and Salicylic acid (peeling agent). Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (that softens, separates, and causes peeling of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin). It increases the amount of moisture in the skin and dissolves the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate use of Lozivate-3S Lotion that suits your infection. Common side effects of Lozivate-3S Lotion include itching, dryness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are temporary and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are sensitive to Lozivate-3S Lotion or any other medications. Do not use Lozivate-3S Lotion on open wounds, blisters, and lesions. Please do not cover the affected areas with a dressing or bandage unless advised. Lozivate-3S Lotion is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Uses of Lozivate-3S Lotion

Lozivate-3S Lotion is used to treat Eczema and psoriasis. The detailed uses of Lozivate-3S Lotion are as follows:<br/>•Treatment of Psoriasis: Lozivate-3S Lotion helps manage psoriasis, a condition that causes red, scaly skin patches, by reducing inflammation and slowing down excessive skin cell growth.<br/>•Eczema Relief: Lozivate-3S Lotion provides relief for eczema, calming itchy and inflamed skin with its anti-inflammatory properties, which soothe irritation and reduce itching.<br/>•Treating Dermatitis: Lozivate-3S Lotion treats various inflammatory skin conditions, including contact dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis, by reducing redness, swelling, and discomfort caused by allergic reactions or irritants.<br/>

Directions for Use

• Apply Lozivate-3S Lotion once or twice a day, as directed by your doctor. Use it at the same time each day for effective results.• Apply a thin layer with clean and dry hands on the skin's affected areas. You can also apply it with clean cotton wool or a gauze swab. Gently rub the medicine into the skin. • Wash your hands before and after using Lozivate-3S Lotion on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands.

Drug Warnings

Lozivate-3S Lotion is for topical (for skin) use only. Lozivate-3S Lotion is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have blood circulation problems, active skin infections, and chickenpox. Prolonged use of steroid containing medicines leads to skin sensitisation and the development of resistant organisms. Do not cover the affected areas with occlusive dressings while using Lozivate-3S Lotion. Avoid applying Lozivate-3S Lotion on sunburns, lesions, blisters, and open wounds. Topical usage of corticosteroids like Clobetasol propionate in pregnant women should be used with caution under a doctor's supervision. Let your doctor know if you are a lactating mother before using Lozivate-3S Lotion. If you apply Lozivate-3S Lotion to breasts or nipples for treatment, wash it off while nursing your baby. Do not go near naked flames since the fabric that comes in contact with Lozivate-3S Lotion may burn easily. Washing the fabric may decrease the risk, but it does not remove the product completely. Do not store Lozivate-3S Lotion above 25°C.
