About PALZEN 025MG VIAL INJECTION 5ML

PALZEN 025MG VIAL INJECTION 5ML belongs to a class of drugs called antiemetics used to prevent nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. Nausea is a feeling of uneasiness of the stomach that often comes before vomiting. On the other hand, vomiting is the forcible voluntary or involuntary emptying of stomach contents through the mouth.

PALZEN 025MG VIAL INJECTION 5ML contains Palonosetron that works by blocking the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) located in the brain. Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting.

Take PALZEN 025MG VIAL INJECTION 5ML as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take PALZEN 025MG VIAL INJECTION 5ML for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, constipation, dizziness or headache. Nausea and vomiting

Directions for Use

The oral form can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor. Usually, you may be advised to take the capsule 1 hour before the start of your chemotherapy. The injection form is given by a doctor or nurse about 30 minutes before the start of your chemotherapy. It is usually injected into a vein in adults and given as intravenous (into a vein) infusion (drip) in children.
