Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's is primarily used to prevent the formation of blood clots, thereby reducing the chance of having a heart attack or stroke in future. This medicine is prescribed after a heart attack, unstable angina, or if you have been treated with a procedure to open blocked arteries or have stents to open blocked/narrowed arteries.

Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's contains 'Prasugrel', which works by inhibiting the clumping of platelets, thereby reducing the chance of having blood clot formation. This results in lower cardiovascular events like myocardial infarction (heart attack) or stroke in future.

In some cases, Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's may cause side effects such as nosebleeds, skin rash, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood in the urine, low haemoglobin, purpura (blood leakage under the skin), indigestion, and bruising. You are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to it, have ever had a brain stroke, bleeding in the brain or a transient ischemic attack (stroke). Talk to your doctor before taking Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's if you weigh below 60 kg, are 75 years or older, and have/had a recent severe injury or surgery due to the risk of severe bleeding problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Prevention of Blood Clots: Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's helps to prevent blood clots in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or those undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
• Prevention of Heart Attack: By inhibiting platelet activation, Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's significantly lowers the risk of myocardial infarction, protecting patients from cardiac damage.
• Prevention of Stroke: Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's helps to prevent stroke in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or those at high risk of stroke.

• Take Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• It is advised to take Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's once daily; however, follow your doctor’s recommendation regarding the dosage and duration.
• Swallow Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Talk to your doctor before taking Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's if you have bleeding problems, weigh below 60 kg, are 75 years or older, had/have had a recent serious injury or surgery, or have kidney or liver disease.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you develop a medical condition called thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (a blood disorder) while taking Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's; its symptoms include fever, bruising under the skin that appears as red pinpoint dots, with/without unexplained confusion, tiredness, and yellowing of the skin and eyes.
• Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children as the efficacy and safety have not been established.
• People affected with active pathological bleeding (peptic ulcer, intracranial or brain haemorrhage) and a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) should not take Pisugrel-10 Tablet 10's.
