Information for patients
Drug Information Nimesulide is a relatively COX-2 selective, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic properties. Its approved indications are the treatment of acute pain, the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis and primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescents and adults above 12 years old. Due to concerns about the risk of hepatotoxicity, nimesulide has been withdrawn from market in many countries. Nimesulide is primarily indicated in conditions like Bursitis, Gynecological infections, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Tendinitis, Thrombophlebitis, Trauma, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Ent infections.
Drug Alert
Alert Nimesulide must be used with care among patients with a history of bleeding, with illnesses of the upper gastrointestinal tract and to subjects undergoing treatment with anticoagulants or drugs that inhibit platelet aggregation. The patients must be under direct medical supervision while taking substances with limited gastric tolerance at the same time. Since the drug is eliminated mainly through the kidneys, patient with the renal insufficiency must have a lower dosage depending on the glomerular filtration rate.
Before Consuming the Medicine
Avoid Drug Nimesulide must be used with care among patients with a history of bleeding, with illnesses of the upper gastrointestinal tract and to subjects undergoing treatment with anticoagulants or drugs that inhibit platelet aggregation. The patients must be under direct medical supervision while taking substances with limited gastric tolerance at the same time. Since the drug is eliminated mainly through the kidneys, patient with the renal insufficiency must have a lower dosage depending on the glomerular filtration rate. The product must not be administered to the patient with severe renal insufficiency. The product can cause water retention, therefore it must not be administered to the patient with reduced cardiac function. Patients whose activity require alertness must take the product with care in case they notice drowsiness or vertigo during therapy . Cases of visual disturbances when using other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have been reported, If eye problems appear, the treatment must be interrupted and an eye examination must be performed.
Drug Special Care Nimesulide is contraindicated in conditions like GI ulceration, GI hemorrhage.

Drug Information Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxer. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to your brain. Chlorzoxazone is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat skeletal muscle conditions such as pain or injury.
Drug Alert
Alert Serious (including fatal) hepatocellular toxicity has been reported rarely in patients receiving chlorzoxazone. The mechanism is unknown but appears to be idiosyncratic and unpredictable. Factors predisposing patients to this rare event are not known. Patients should be instructed to report early signs and/or symptoms of hepatotoxicity such as fever, rash, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, right upper quadrant pain, dark urine, or jaundice

How to take the Medicine
Consumption Info Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Drug quanitty Usual Adult Dose for Muscle Spasm: 250 to 750 mg orally 3 to 4 times a day. The dosage may be reduced as the condition of the patient improves. Usual Pediatric Dose for Muscle Spasm: 125 to 500 mg orally 3 to 4 times a day. Alternative dosing: 20 mg/kg/day in divided doses 3 to 4 times a day.
Drug Dose
Excess Drug Consumption Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222. An overdose of chlorzoxazone can be fatal. Overdose symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, muscle weakness, shallow breathing, or fainting.
Forgot Drug Consumption Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Rare Drug Side Effects Stop using chlorzoxazone and call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects: black, bloody, or tarry stools; nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; or feeling like you might pass out.
