PRASUGRIN 10MG TABLET is used to prevent blood clots in people with acute coronary syndrome who are undergoing a procedure after a recent heart attack or stroke, and in people with certain disorders of the heart or blood vessels.

PRASUGRIN 10MG TABLET comes as a tablet to be taken by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Take medicine at around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and use exactly as directed by your doctor.
PRASUGRIN 10MG TABLET is in a class of medications called anti-platelet medications works by preventing platelets (a type of blood cell) from collecting and forming clots that may cause a heart attack or stroke.
Pregnancy: should be used during pregnancy only if the benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus. Consult your doctor before use. Alcohol: Avoid drinking alcohol. Do not take medicine if you have: - any active bleeding such as a stomach ulcer or bleeding in the brain (such as from a head injury) - a history of stroke - if you are scheduled to have surgery, especially heart bypass surgery . Tell your doctor if you have: - a stomach ulcer - bleeding problems - surgery, an injury, or a medical emergency - a severe allergic reaction to clopidogrel (Plavix) or ticlopidine (Ticlid) - weigh less than 132 pounds - other medicines to treat or prevent blood clots
