Drug Information It belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It helps to reduce swelling and irritation. Clobetasol propionate is used to help reduce the redness and itchiness of certain scalp problems. These include eczema and psoriasis that have not responded to milder steroid creams, ointments, lotions or scalp applications

Drug Special Care Check with your doctor or pharmacist before using your medicine if: • you are applying the liquid under an airtight dressing. These dressings make it easier for the active ingredient to pass through the skin. It is possible to accidentally end up using too much. • you have psoriasis, your doctor will want to see you more often. How to take the Medicine
Consumption Info Always use Clobetasol propionate exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure The liquid is flammable, you should keep it away from fire. • Do not dry your hair with a hairdryer or be near a fire.
Drug quanitty 1 Wash your hands. 2 Unscrew the bottle cap and place the nozzle directly on the scalp that needs treating. 3 Gently squeeze the bottle to cover the area with a thin and even layer of liquid 4 You can rub this liquid in, but you don’t have to. 5 Your scalp will feel cool until the liquid has dried. 6 Wash your hands again
Drug Dose • You usually put Clobetasol propionate on your scalp in the morning and at night. This may be reduced as your scalp problem begins to get better, or stopped when it is better. • For use on your skin of your scalp only. • Do not use it more often than prescribed or use it for a long time (such as every day for many weeks or months). If you need treatment for a long time, your doctor may decide you need to use a milder treatment. • The germs that cause infections like warm and moist conditions under dressings so always clean the skin before a fresh dressing is put on. • Be very careful not to get the liquid in your eyes. Do not touch your eyes until you have washed your hands. • If you wash or shampoo your hair it should be dried before applying the liquid. • If you are applying the scalp application on someone else make sure you wash your hands after use or wear disposable plastic gloves.
Excess Drug Consumption If, by mistake on a few occasions you use more than you should, do not worry. If you apply a lot or if a lot is accidentally swallowed, it could make you ill. Talk to your doctor or go to hospital as soon as possible
Forgot Drug Consumption If you forget to apply your scalp application, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time you are next meant to apply it, wait until this time.
Stop Drug Consumption If you use Clobetasol propionate regularly make sure you talk to your doctor before you stop using it. If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist
Possible Side Effects
General Information • you find that your scalp problem gets worse or becomes swol en during treatment. You may be allergic to the scalp application, have an infection or need other treatment
Common Drug Side Effects • A feeling of burning, irritation or itching where the scalp application is applied. • If you have psoriasis you may get raised bumps with pus under the skin. This can happen during or after the treatment and is known as pustular psoriasis
Rare Drug Side Effects • Thinning of your skin that may also damage more easily. • Weight gain, rounding of the face and high blood pressure. These are more likely to happen in infants and children.

Drug Information Clotrimazole Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal nappy rash and fungal sweat rash. It is also used to relieve irritation of the vulva (external thrush) or the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush. If you are unsure whether you (or your baby if treating nappy rash) have one of these fungal skin infections, seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. The active substance in Clotrimazole Cream is clotrimazole. Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines called imidazoles and is an antifungal agent which ? ghts the cause of fungal skin infections

Important information about some of the ingredients: This product contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin irritation (e.g. rash, itching or redness).
Drug Special Care As with other creams, Clotrimazole Cream may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives, such as condoms or diaphragms. Consequently, if you are using this cream on the vulva or penis, you should use alternative precautions for at least ? ve days after using this product.

Drug More Information The symptoms of skin infection, such as itching or soreness, should improve within a few days of treatment although signs such as redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Clotrimazole ® Cream is for external use only: Do not put the cream in your mouth or swallow it. If the cream is swallowed accidentally, tell your doctor straight away or contact the Accident and Emergency Department of your nearest hospital. If you accidentally get cream in your eyes or mouth, wash immediately with water and contact your doctor.

Drug Dose • Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press. • If the feet are infected, they should be washed and dried thoroughly, especially between the toes, before applying the cream. • Clotrimazole Cream should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected areas two or three times daily and rubbed in gently. • The duration of the treatment depends upon the type of infection. Generally a minimum of two weeks is required, although up to four weeks may be necessary. • If you have athlete’s foot, it may help to use an antifungal dusting powder as well. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend one.
Excess Drug Consumption
Forgot Drug Consumption Apply the cream as soon as possible and then continue the rest of your treatment as usual. You can help the treatment to work if you follow these simple self-help tips: • Although the infected area will itch, try not to scratch. Scratching will damage the surface of the skin and cause the infection to spread further. • Keep the affected skin areas clean. • Pay particular attention to drying the skin, but avoid excessive rubbing. • Do not share towels, bath mats, etc. with other people as you could spread the infection to them. • Always wash your hands after treating the infection to prevent it from spreading. If you have athlete’s foot: • Remember to dry the skin between the toes thoroughly. • Wash your socks, stockings and tights thoroughly in hot water to remove any shed skin or fungal spores. • Change your footwear daily if possible.

General Information As with all medicines, some people may be allergic to the cream. If you or your baby are allergic, a reaction will occur soon after you start using it. If you or your baby experience an allergic reaction, stop using Clotrimazole Cream and tell your doctor straight away or contact the Accident and Emergency Department of your nearest hospital.

Drug Information Fusidic acid® contains fusidic acid. It is a type of antibiotic. Fusidic acid® works by killing germs (bacteria) that cause infections.Fusidic acid® is used to treat conditions where the skin is infected by germs (bacteria), such as: •Impetigo (a weeping, crusty and swollen patch of skin) •Infected dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) and spots •Infected cuts and grazes.

Drug quanitty Your doctor will tell you how much Fusidic acid® to use.Usually, you should use this medicine three or four times each day. If you have been told to cover the skin with any dressings or bandages you may not need to use the medicine so often. A nappy on a baby may act as a dressing. Follow the advice of your doctor
Drug Dose This medicine is only for using on your skin or the skin of a child. Do not swallow it. Do not put it inside your body. Remove the cap. Check the seal is not broken before you first use the . Then push the spike in the cap through the seal on the tube. Always wash your hands before using Fusidic acid . Rub the medicine gently on the skin. If you use it on your face be careful to avoid your eyes.Unless you are using the to treat your hands, always wash your hands after using Fusidic acid® . If you accidentally get any medicine in your eye, wash it out with cold water straight away. Then bathe your eye with eyewash if possible.Your eye may sting. If you start to have any problems with your sight or your eye is sore, contact your doctor immediately.
