Brivazen 50 Tablet is used in the treatment of Partial-onset seizures.

Brivazen 50 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anticonvulsants or anti-epileptics used to treat partial-onset seizures in people with epilepsy (fits). Brivazen 50 Tablet consists of Brivaracetam, which works by reducing the electrical impulses and subsequent firing of the nerve impulses that cause fits. Brivazen 50 Tablet decreases the excessive and abnormal nerve activity in the brain, thereby helping in controlling seizures.
Brivazen 50 Tablet is used for treating partial-onset seizures (seizures involving only one part of the brain) in people with epilepsy (fits).
Brivazen 50 Tablet contains Brivaracetam, an antiepileptic that attaches itself to specific sites (SV2A) on nerve cell surfaces. This activity may suppress the brain's abnormal activity and prevents the spread of electrical signals that cause seizures.
No, Brivazen 50 Tablet should not be stopped even if you start feeling better. Suddenly stopping the Brivazen 50 Tablet may cause continuous seizures, which can be difficult to control. Consult the doctor if you do not see an improvement. Do not discontinue Brivazen 50 Tablet without consulting your doctor as stopping the medicine may cause your seizures to return or occur more often.
Brivazen 50 Tablet should be avoided by people who are allergic to any of its components.
Brivazen 50 Tablet should be swallowed as a whole with water; do not crush or chew it.
Side effects of Brivazen 50 Tablet are somnolence (excess sleepiness), dizziness, fatigue (feeling overtired), nausea and vomiting. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
