Uses:
Treatment of Recurrent Miscarriage and premature labour.
Medicinal Benefits:
Gestin Tablet contains “Allylestrenol” which is a progestin (female hormones) which is used in pregnant women who have a recurrent and threatened miscarriage (abortion) and pregnant women who have delivered a baby too early (preterm) in the past. It works by modulating the immune response of the pregnant women to prevent rejection of the embryo and allow its attachment to the uterus, and improve blood flow to the placenta. It also relaxes uterus muscles, thereby preventing premature labour. On the other hand, Gestin Tablet is effective in the treatment of hot flashes in postmenopausal women and benign prostatic hyperplasia (noncancerous increase in the size of the prostate gland) in men.
