It also suppresses the release of excitatory amino acid glutamate (a chemical messenger that acts as a nerve-exciting agent) in the brain, thereby preventing episodes of fits by stabilizing nerve cell's electrical activity in the brain. Lamiwell 50 Tablet SR is widely used in pediatric epilepsy because of its acceptable safety profile.
