MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Moxifloxacin belongs to a group of drugs known as quinolone antibiotics that stop the growth of bacteria. This drug stops the bacteria's ability to copy their DNA. This action results in the killing of bacteria and stops them from producing other bacteria. This action treats bacterial infection. Prednisolone belongs to a group of drugs known as 'Corticosteroids,' which reduces inflammation caused by bacterial infections. This medicine reduces the activity of the immune system and reduces bacterial infection.
MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml is used to treat bacterial eye infections.
MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml is a combination of two medicines: Moxifloxacin and Prednisolone. Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from making a copy of their genetic material (DNA), thereby killing and stopping bacterial infection growth. Thus together MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml treats the infection effectively. On the other side, Prednisolone is a steroid drug that works by lowering the activity of the immune system that in turn reduces inflammation and swelling. Both medications in combination treat bacterial infections.
MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml cannot be stopped suddenly, even if you feel better. Please complete the course of MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml. Discontinuing the MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml might result in recurring infection or not curing the infection completely.
If you use other eye ointments/drops along with MO-4PD Eye Drops 5 ml, it is advised to maintain a gap of at least 5-10 minutes after each administration. Also, use eye drops before applying any ointments.
Avoid contact of the tip of the dispensing container with fingers, eyes, and eyelids when you use any eye formulation to prevent contamination of the medicine.
