Medicinal Benefits:
Qugyl-O Infusion belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics, used to treat bacterial infections. It is indicated in the treatment of shigellosis, dental infections, post-surgical infections, diarrhoea, and mixed infections of the cervix and vagina.
Qugyl-O Infusion contains Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin prevents the bacteria from repairing and dividing. Ornidazole damages the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria. Together, Qugyl-O Infusion kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.
Qugyl-O Infusion may cause photosensitivity (sensitivity to sunlight) and can make you sunburn easily. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Always wear protective clothing and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher before going out.
Consult your doctor before taking Qugyl-O Infusion if you have diabetes, as Qugyl-O Infusion may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar levels). Regularly monitor blood sugar levels while taking Qugyl-O Infusion to avoid unpleasant events.
Qugyl-O Infusion contains ofloxacin, which might produce false-positive urine screening results for opiates. Inform the person doing the tests that you are on treatment with Qugyl-O Infusion .
