PSCAB LOTION 100ML belongs to the class of pyrethroids. It is an antiparasite drug used to treat infections caused by eggs, lice, and mites. It is used mainly used in the treatment of pediculosis and scabies. Pediculosis is the infestation of lice in the hairy parts of the body, especially the scalp. It occurs most commonly in children above 5 years of age and spreads by head-to-contact. Scabies is a skin infection caused by mites. It is contagious and spread from one person to another with physical contact. Patients with pediculosis and scabies experience rashes and persistent itching in the infected area which worsens in the night-time.
PSCAB LOTION 100ML is available for external use only. It is available in topical dosage forms such as cream, lotion, and liquid. The infected area should be kept clean and dry, before applying the drug. A single application of medicine is usually sufficient to treat the infection. In some cases, people may require a second treatment. Some people may experience adverse effects such as redness, rash, burning sensation, and itching.
Do not take the medicine if you are allergic to permethrin or chrysanthemums. Children below 6 years, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor before using permethrin.

It inactivates the nerve membrane and paralyzes the insects, eventually killing them. It can also kill the nits and eggs of the insect.
PSCAB LOTION 100ML may cause side-effects such as skin irritation, redness, rash, burning or tingling sensation, and numbness at the site of application. These side-effects usually resolve on their own and do not require medical attention. However, consult a doctor immediately if the side-effects persist or worsen. In addition, seek medical help if you experience allergic reactions such as fever, chills, rashes, or fluid-filled infected areas, and shortness of breath.

It infects the hairy parts of the body such as the scalp and pubic area. In this condition, lice attach to the scalp and lay eggs at the base of the hair. Scabies is an infection caused by the mite, Sarcoptes scabiei. The mites attach themselves to the skin and cause skin rashes, intense itching, and burning sensation. It usually affects knees, elbows, breasts, thighs, pubic area, and webbing between the fingers.
PSCAB LOTION 100ML may not cause hair loss or any damage to hair.
