About Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml

Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat various bacterial infections of skin, eyes, bone, lungs and blood. The bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grows in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml is an antibiotic that works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it stops the growth of bacteria without killing them directly. Then the bacteria eventually die, or immune system destroys them and clears the infection.

Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml is available in topical, oral, injection and ophthalmic dosage forms. The oral and ophthalmic dosage forms of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The injection form of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml is given as intravenous (IV) infusion by a doctor or nurse. The topical form of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml should be applied gently on the affected area of the skin 3 to 4 times daily. Your doctor will advise you how often you take Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience redness, itching, irritation or burning sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic that mainly acts against most of the gram-positive bacteria. Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml in topical form is used in the treatment of bacterial skin infections. The ophthalmic form (eye drops) of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml in oral form is used to treat bacterial infections of eyes, bone, lungs and blood. Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml inhibits the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Directions for Use

Topically: Wash your hands before and after applying Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml. Take a small amount of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml and gently rub on the affected area of the skin 3 to 4 times every day. Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml is only for external use. If you are using Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml on face, avoid contact with eyes as it may irritate. In case Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml comes in contact with eyes accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. If you still have a problem with your eye or notice any vision problems, consult your doctor immediately. Orally: If you are prescribed Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml in oral form, swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. Take Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml with or without food. Do not break, crush or chew it. If it is oral suspension form, shake the bottle well before use and take Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml as prescribed by your doctor with a measuring cup or spoon provided.Ophthalmic (eye drops): Use Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml as prescribed by your doctor. Apply one drop of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml in the morning and one drop in the evening in the affected eye. Your doctor will advise you how many drops to instil based on your medical condition. Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml is for use only in the eyes. Do not swallow Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml. Please do not touch the container tip to the eye, eyelids or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml and cause eye infections.Injection: Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml in injection form is given as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a doctor or nurse.

Certain fermented foods like cheese, yoghurt, kombucha, sauerkraut and kimchi can help to restore the good bacteria of intestine.
  • Include fibre rich foods, as it can be easily digested by your gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fibre rich foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics. Whole grains such as brown rice, whole grain bread should be included in your diet.
  • Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids every day while taking Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml.

Special Advise

  • You are advised to apply any other lotions, creams or ointments including cosmetics and moisturizers after 30 minutes of applying Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml as using both at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml.
  • You are advised to remove soft contact lenses before using Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml (eye drops) as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that may cause eye irritation and discolouration of soft contact lens. You can reinsert contact lenses after 15 minutes of using Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml.
  • Regular blood tests are recommended while taking Fusiscalp Lotion 15 ml (oral form) to monitor liver functioning.
