Acivir Cream 5 gm is primarily used to treat herpes simplex virus infections of the skin. It contains Aciclovir, which is an antiviral medicine. It works by killing and stopping the growth of the herpes simplex virus. It also treats genital herpes and herpes labialis/cold sores (herpes simplex virus infections of the lips and face). एसीविर क्रीम 5 ग्राम मुख्य रूप से त्वचा के हरपीज सिम्प्लेक्स वायरस संक्रमण के इलाज के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है। इसका उपयोग जननांग हरपीज और हरपीज लैबियालिस/कोल्ड सोर (होंठ और चेहरे के हरपीज सिम्प्लेक्स वायरस संक्रमण) के इलाज के लिए किया जाता है।

एसीविर क्रीम 5 ग्राम में एसिक्लोविर होता है, जो एक एंटीवायरल दवा है। यह हरपीज सिम्प्लेक्स वायरस को मारकर और उसके विकास को रोककर काम करता है।

एसीविर क्रीम 5 ग्राम केवल बाहरी उपयोग के लिए है। अपनी उंगलियों पर थोड़ी मात्रा लें और इसे अपने डॉक्टर द्वारा बताए अनुसार साफ और सूखे प्रभावित क्षेत्र पर एक पतली परत के रूप में लगाएं। नाक, मुंह या आंखों के संपर्क से बचें। इन क्षेत्रों के साथ गलती से संपर्क होने पर, पानी से अच्छी तरह धो लें। संक्रमण को फैलने से रोकने के लिए लगाने से पहले और बाद में अपने हाथ धोएं।
