Acivir-800 DT Tablet is used to treat viral infections. Chickenpox is caused by the varicella zoster virus and usually resolves on its own within 7 to 10 days. Treatment mainly focuses on easing the symptoms with adequate rest, plenty of fluids, calamine lotion, and paracetamol for fever, while avoiding ibuprofen unless advised. Acyclovir 800mg is typically only prescribed for adults or those at higher risk of complications. However, you should consult your doctor before taking it to ensure it is appropriate for you.
