Amaryl M 1 Tablet is indicated in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Amaryl M 1 Tablet works by decreasing the amount of glucose absorbed from the food and the amount of glucose made by the liver. It helps the pancreas to produce insulin and helps the body use insulin efficiently.
Amaryl M 1 Tablet may increase the risk of low blood sugar levels, especially with alcohol intake, exercise more than usual, delay or miss snacks or meals. However, if you experience any signs of low blood pressure, such as dizziness, nausea, light-headedness, dehydration or fainting, please consult a doctor.

You are not recommended to stop taking Amaryl M 1 Tablet on your own as discontinuing Amaryl M 1 Tablet suddenly may cause recurring symptoms or worsen the condition. However, if you experience any difficulty while taking Amaryl M 1 Tablet , please consult your doctor so that alternative medicine may be prescribed.
You are not recommended to take Amaryl M 1 Tablet with phenytoin as it may reduce the effect of Amaryl M 1 Tablet and increase blood sugar levels. However, please consult a doctor before using Amaryl M 1 Tablet with other medicines.

Store Amaryl M 1 Tablet at room temperature, in a dry place. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Amaryl M 1 Tablet may cause lactic acidosis (builds up of lactic acid in the blood). Consult the doctor if you notice symptoms of lactic acidosis like abdominal pain, vomiting, muscle cramps, difficulty breathing, reduced body temperature and heartbeat, and severe tiredness.
Amaryl M 1 Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus, also known as noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
Side effects of Amaryl M 1 Tablet are stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, headache or metallic taste. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Long-term use of Amaryl M 1 Tablet may lead to vitamin B12 deficiency. Regular monitoring of vitamin B12 levels is recommended.
You are recommended to avoid consumption of alcohol with Amaryl M 1 Tablet as it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis (accumulation of lactic acid in the body).
Amaryl M 1 Tablet should be swallowed as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.
Regularly monitor blood glucose levels. Have your meals regularly and never miss a meal. Always carry a source of sugar and consume it if you experience low blood sugar. If you are due to undergo any tests or surgery, inform the doctor that you are taking Amaryl M 1 Tablet . Avoid drinking alcohol.
Other medicines should be taken with Amaryl M 1 Tablet only if prescribed by the doctor. To prevent any interactions it is advised to consult the doctor before taking other medicines during treatment with Amaryl M 1 Tablet .
