Amoctam 1.5G Injection belongs to the group of medications called antibiotics. It is a combination medication which contains amoxicillin and sulbactam used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and intra-abdominal infections caused by susceptible bacterial strains. The common side effects of Amoctam 1.5G Injection include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects are temporary and do not require medical attention. Co-administration of Amoctam 1.5G Injection and Zalcitabine can be decreased when combined with Amoctam 1.5G Injection.

There may be a possibility of interaction between Zalcitabine and Amoctam 1.5G Injection, but it can be taken if prescribed by a doctor. Do not discontinue any medications without consulting a doctor.
How does the drug interact with Amoctam 1.5G Injection:
Co-administration of methotrexate with Amoctam 1.5G Injection can increase the levels and side effects of methotrexate.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between methotrexate and Amoctam 1.5G Injection, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience any symptoms such as tiredness, dizziness, fainting, unusual bleeding or bruising, chills, fever, sore throat, body pains. Consult a doctor immediately. Do not stop using medications without a doctor's advice.
