Dronis 20 Tablet is used as an oral contraceptive to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It is also used to treat moderate acne and symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder. It contains Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, which work by preventing the fertilisation of the egg. It may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, mood changes, and breast tenderness. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

I started T Dromis 30 on April 20 and stopped on May 12 for my period to come, but my period has not started yet. The pregnancy test is negative, and I also took an I-pill on April 19. Should I be worried, and should I continue the tablet after 7 days even if my period does not arrive?

A missed or delayed period after stopping T Dromis 30 can happen, especially in the first cycle or after taking an i‑pill, because emergency contraception and hormonal tablets can temporarily disturb your hormonal balance. Since your pregnancy test is negative, pregnancy is less likely, though you may repeat the test if your period does not come within a few days. If your periods remain absent for more than one cycle, or if you develop other symptoms, it is best to consult a gynaecologist for proper evaluation before continuing the tablets.

I stopped Dronis 20 in December and have had periods lasting only 2 days for the past two months. They're irregular and not painful. Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

Yes, this may be typical after taking Dronis because it may take several months for hormones to return to normal, resulting in irregular or brief periods. If it lasts longer than three months, you skip periods, or you intend to become pregnant, consult a gynecologist.
