Gaswel Syrup is used to treat acidity, heartburn and gas. It works by neutralising excess stomach acid and preventing the formation of gas. In some cases, this medicine may cause side effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, bad taste, and dry mouth. Drug-Drug Interactions: Gaswel Syrup may interact with pain killers (aspirin), anti-hypertensive (ramipril), hormones (levothyroxine), anti-convulsant (phenytoin), antacids (aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide), anti-fungal (ketoconazole, fluconazole, voriconazole), antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin, moxifloxacin, pentamidine), anti-depressant (escitalopram, citalopram).
