Harmoni F Tablet is used to treat symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) like acne, irregular periods and excessive hair growth. Besides this, it may also be used as a contraceptive. It works by blocking the overproduction of androgens (a hormone) in the ovaries. In some cases, this medicine may cause side effects such as weight gain, nausea, tender breasts, stomach pain, headache, and mood changes. Inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any other medication, or have any pre-existing medical conditions.

Vaginal Bleeding Between Periods

Vaginal bleeding can be abnormal if it is not related to menstruation, and needs immediate attention and cannot be ignored.
Get a physical examination and follow your doctor's instructions to get relief from bleeding.
Avoid using vaginal sprays or perfumed soaps that increase itching and irritation.
Prefer practicing yoga and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety, as it can worsen vaginal bleeding.

Drug-Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interactions: Harmoni F Tablet may interact with an antitubercular drug (rifampicin), drugs used for fits (phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone, topiramate, carbamazepine, and phenylbutazone), drugs used for HIV (ritonavir and modafinil), antibiotics, penicillins, and tetracyclines, herbal products used to treat depression (Hypericum perforatum), anticancer drug (fluorouracil), a medicine used to treat high cholesterol (cholestyramine), and medicines used to bowel disorders (sulfasalazine).

Drug-Food Interactions: Alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking Harmoni F Tablet .

Drug-Disease Interactions: Harmoni F Tablet should not be used in patients with a history of heart attack or stroke, blood clots in the legs (thrombophlebitis), lungs (pulmonary embolism), or eyes, blood clots in the deep veins of your legs, known or suspected breast cancer or cancer of the lining of the uterus, cervix, or vagina, liver tumour (benign or cancerous), angina pectoris (chest pain), unexplained vaginal bleeding, jaundice (yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin) during pregnancy or during previous use of the pill, heart rhythm disorders, diabetes affecting your circulation, headaches with neurological symptoms, uncontrolled high blood pressure, liver disease, and surgery with prolonged bed rest.
