L-Dox Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections. It treats urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, eye infections, sexually transmitted infections (like gonorrhea, and syphilis), gum infections, and diseases like periodontitis. Besides this, it also treats acne-like lesions caused by rosacea. However, it does not treat facial redness caused by rosacea. It contains Doxycycline and Lactobacillus sporogenes, which inhibits the formation of the outer protein layer of bacteria (cell wall), which is responsible for bacteria growth and multiplication, and also promotes the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestine, resulting in a healthy balance of microflora in the gut environment. As a result, it aids in the prevention of infection and strengthens our gut immune system. Use of this medicine during tooth development (last half of pregnancy, infancy, and childhood up to the age of 8 years) may cause staining of teeth (yellow-grey-brown).
