Lumerax Dry Syrup is used to treat and prevent malaria in children above 2 months of age. It contains Artemether and Lumefantrine which interfere with Plasmodium parasite's growth in the red blood cells of the human body. It is a combination medicine used to treat non-severe malaria caused by a parasite called Plasmodium falciparum. It may cause common side effects such as headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, weakness, fever, chills, tiredness, muscle/joint pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, cough and trouble sleeping. Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if your child is allergic to any of its components and about all the medications you are giving and pre-existing medical conditions.
