Drug-Drug Interactions: ME-12 OD Tablet may have interaction with antibiotic medications (e.g. chloramphenicol), inorganic compounds (e.g. arsenic trioxide), anti-diabetic medications (e.g. insulin, metformin), hormonal medications (e.g. levothyroxine), anti-cancer mediations (e.g. altretamine), anti-convulsant mediations (e.g. phenobarbital, phenytoin), and anti-Parkinson’s mediations (e.g. levodopa).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking ME-12 OD Tablet as it might cause increased sleepiness.

Drug-Disease Interactions: ME-12 OD Tablet may interact with disease conditions such as malabsorption, epilepsy, anaemia, and alcoholism.

Co-administration of Folic acid with Capecitabine may increase the risk of serious side effects.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between Folic acid and Capecitabine but can be taken if prescribed by the doctor. Contact a doctor if you experience paleness of skin, diarrhea, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body aches, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling sensation in the hands and feet. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
