  • Contrast Dyes: Iodinated contrast media used during imaging scans may require temporary interruption of Melmet-1000 SR Tablet in certain patients, particularly those with significantly reduced kidney function (eGFR below 30 mL/min/1.73 m²), acute kidney injury, or selected high-risk procedures.   • Alcohol: Excessive alcohol consumption can significantly increase the risk of lactic acidosis, a rare but potentially life-threatening complication associated with Melmet-1000 SR Tablet . Alcohol-related low blood sugar is uncommon with Melmet-1000 SR Tablet alone but may occur when Melmet-1000 SR Tablet is taken together with other diabetes medicines that can cause hypoglycaemia, such as insulin or sulfonylureas.

  • Severe Kidney Disease: This medicine is filtered through your kidneys. If you have severe kidney impairment, the drug can build up in your body, which can be highly dangerous.
