It is indicated in the management of pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic, for which alternative treatment is inadequate. It is also used as a pre-anaesthetic or pre-operative medication and as a supplement to surgical anaesthesia. It contains Pentazocine, which changes how the nervous system and brain respond to pain. Thereby, it helps provide relief from pain.
