Pentids 400 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, ears, nose, throat, chest, and lungs. This medicine contains penicillin G which works by inhibiting the bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and thereby helps fight infection-causing bacteria. This medicine is not effective for treating viral infections. Common side effects include stomach pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, skin rash, yellow-coloured eyes and skin, weakness, etc.
