Stazol 50 Injection is used to treat hereditary angioedema. It contains Stanozolol, a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid. It works by decreasing the frequency and severity of the swelling. Anabolic steroids also stimulate growth in the tissues. Stanozolol is also known to reduce bradykinin (inflammatory mediator) production, thus preventing the effect of a bradykinin storm, which is responsible for several complications in COVID-19 patients.
