Valcet-1 Tablet is used to treat viral infections. It plays a vital role in treating cold sores (an inflamed blister in or near the mouth caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus), genital herpes (a common sexually transmitted infection marked by genital pain and sores), and herpes zoster (a viral infection that causes a painful rash). It contains valacyclovir, which prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells and slowly leading to the viral infection clearing up. Sometimes, you may experience side effects such as headaches, dizziness, nausea or vomiting, diarrhoea, and skin sensitivity to sunlight. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
