Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel belongs to the class of 'antivirals' used in treating herpes simplex keratitis. Herpes simplex keratitis is an infection that affects the cornea of the eye front surface of the eye) caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).

• Treatment of Herpes simplex keratitis: Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel is an antiviral medication used to treat eye ulcers (herpetic keratitis) caused by herpes simplex virus infection in adults and children aged 2 years and above, helping to promote healing and reduce symptoms.

• Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel is typically used 1-2 times a day, or as prescribed by your healthcare provider, based on the severity of the infection.
• Tilt your head back, gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination.

Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel treats viral infection of the eye caused by the herpes simplex virus. It consists of Gancyclovir, an antiviral drug that works by killing and stopping the growth of the herpes simplex virus on the cornea.
