X-Vir 1 mg Tablet 30's is used to treat chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It contains Entecavir, which works by inhibiting the viral DNA polymerase enzyme action in the liver cells, which is essential for the virus to multiply. Therefore, it prevents the virus from replicating and reduces the amount of hepatitis B virus in the body. In some cases, it may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, extreme tiredness, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), diarrhoea, or indigestion. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
