Zymar Eye Ointment 5 gm is used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis. It contains Gatifloxacin, which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of enzymes essential for the growth and survival of the bacterial cell. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as eye irritation, eye redness, blurred vision, and watery eyes. Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions. You should not wear contact lenses if you have symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis and while applying this medicine.
