Cpink Suspension is used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). It contains Ferrous ascorbate and Folic acid, which work by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. In some cases, it may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, stomach upset, or constipation. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Cpink Suspension may interact with certain antibiotics (tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, chloramphenicol, cotrimoxazole) and antacids (calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium trisilicate).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid intake of dairy products, coffee, tea, or eggs with Cpink Suspension at the same time, as they may reduce the absorption of Cpink Suspension .

Drug-Disease Interactions: Before taking Cpink Suspension , inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions, such as active bacterial infections, hemolytic anaemia, hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis, stomach ulcers, ulcerative colitis, or enteritis.

Co-administration of Ferrous ascorbate, Folic acid with Capecitabine may increase the risk of side effects.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between Ferrous ascorbate, Folic acid and Capecitabine, you can use these medicines together if prescribed by the doctor. However, if you experience paleness of skin, loose stools, severe nausea and vomiting, tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body aches, mouth ulcers or sores, numbness, burning or tingling sensation in the hands and feet, contact a doctor. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
