Tignocaine 2% Injection is used as a local anaesthesia during surgery or medical procedures. This medicine is also used in the management of ventricular arrhythmia (abnormal heartbeat). It prevents the beginning and conduction of impulses by obstructing the influx (entry) of sodium ions into the membrane surrounding the nerves. Common side effects include dizziness, high/low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, and paresthesia (burning or prickling sensation).
