Zomio Syrup 100 ml is used to treat and prevent zinc deficiency in children. It is also used to treat respiratory tract infections, acute and persistent diarrhoea, the common cold, Wilson's disease, and as an immunity booster. It contains zinc, which strengthens the immune system and aids growth and maintenance of good health. This medicine may sometimes cause side effects such as headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, metallic taste, and indigestion. How does the drug interact with Zomio Syrup 100 ml:
Zomio Syrup 100 ml reduces the absorption of dolutegravir, resulting in reduced efficacy of Dolutegravir in treating HIV.

How to manage the interaction:
Although taking Dolutegravir and Zomio Syrup 100 ml together can possibly result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by your doctor. It is advised to take dolutegravir either two hours before or six hours after taking a dose of Zomio Syrup 100 ml. If your condition worsens or develops new infections while taking these medications, it is important to contact a doctor immediately. Do not discontinue using any medications without consulting a doctor.
