Azadine-O Tablet belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines called demethylation agents indicated for continued treatment of adult patients with acute myeloid leukaemia who achieved first complete remission (all signs and symptoms of cancer have disappeared) or complete remission with incomplete blood count recovery following intensive induction chemotherapy and are not able to complete intensive curative therapy. Azadine-O Tablet contains Azacitidine, a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor which works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed by the body. It helps the bone marrow in the production of normal blood cells and kills abnormal cells in the bone marrow.
