The detailed uses of Azatend-O 200 mg Tablet are as follows:</p><ul><li><strong>Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS):</strong> Azatend-O 200 mg Tablet is used to treat all subtypes of MDS, a group of disorders where the bone marrow produces poorly formed or dysfunctional blood cells, leading to anaemia, infections, or bleeding.</li><li><strong>Acute myeloid leukemia (AML):</strong> Azatend-O 200 mg Tablet is used in patients with AML who are not eligible for stem cell transplantation. It helps reduce the number of abnormal blood cells and promotes the production of healthy ones.</li></ul>

Azatend-O 200 mg Tablet belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines called demethylation agents indicated for continued treatment of adult patients with acute myeloid leukaemia who achieved first complete remission (all signs and symptoms of cancer have disappeared) or complete remission with incomplete blood count recovery following intensive induction chemotherapy and are not able to complete intensive curative therapy. Azatend-O 200 mg Tablet contains Azacitidine, a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor which works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed by the body. It helps the bone marrow in the production of normal blood cells and kills abnormal cells in the bone marrow.
