It contains Levofloxacin, a quinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA. Diarrhoea can be a side-effect of Loxof 100 ml. Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD) is also reported during usage of antibiotics like Loxof 100 ml. Therefore, when the patient has diarrhoea, undergoing an examination is advised to rule out the chances of CDAD following Loxof 100 ml therapy.
