Mometasooth 50 mcg Nasal Spray 10 ml is used to treat seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms. It is also used to treat nasal polyps (painless, noncancerous growths on the lining of the nose or sinuses) in adults aged 18 years and above. Seasonal allergic rhinitis, commonly called hay fever, mostly occurs in the summer, spring, or early fall. Perennial allergic rhinitis affects people throughout the year and can be triggered by mould, cockroach or dust mite droppings, pet dander, and saliva.

Mometasooth 50 mcg Nasal Spray 10 ml contains Mometasone, a steroid that gets absorbed into the cells of the nasal lining and works by inhibiting these cells from releasing chemicals that trigger inflammatory and allergic reactions. Thus, it helps to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose and sinus discomfort.

Mometasooth 50 mcg Nasal Spray 10 ml may cause growth retardation in children if used in high doses or for a long time. Therefore, it is recommended that the height of children receiving prolonged treatment with Mometasooth 50 mcg Nasal Spray 10 ml be monitored. If you notice any changes in the growth, consult your doctor so that the dose may be lowered.

Mometasooth 50 mcg Nasal Spray 10 ml should be used for as long as the doctor advises. However, if the symptoms persist or worsen after using Mometasooth 50 mcg Nasal Spray 10 ml for 5 to 6 weeks, please consult your doctor.
