ALLENIL TABLET

ALLENIL TABLET belongs to the 'antihistamine' class of drugs, primarily used to treat allergies. It also treats allergic rhinitis/allergic nasal inflammation, hives (skin rash), and itching associated with skin diseases. Allergy is an immune response produced by the body in response to allergens. Allergic rhinitis is inflammation and allergy of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mould, or skin flakes from certain animals.

ALLENIL TABLET contains Olopatadine, an antihistamine drug. It inhibits the release of histamine (chemical messengers released due to an allergic response in the body) from mast cells. Thereby treats symptoms of allergies like runny nose, sneezing, and itching.

Your doctor will advise on how often you need to take ALLENIL TABLET based on your medical condition. Some common side effects of ALLENIL TABLET include sleepiness, malaise (general discomfort), dry mouth, oedema/fluid retention, rashes, and itching. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects persist or worsen, please reach out to a doctor. 

Please do not use ALLENIL TABLET if you are allergic to any of its components. It is advised to check with your doctor before using ALLENIL TABLET if you are pregnant, currently breastfeeding, or taking any other prescribed or non-prescribed medicines. Avoid driving or operating machines since ALLENIL TABLET may cause drowsiness. Alcohol consumption should be avoided to prevent any adverse reactions during the treatment. Drug-Drug Interaction: Inform your doctor if you are taking any other prescribed or non-prescribed medicines, including vitamins and herbal supplements before starting ALLENIL TABLET.

Drug-Food Interaction: Consumption of alcohol while using ALLENIL TABLET increases the risk of sleepiness. Hence avoid or limit the intake of alcohol.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart, liver or kidney diseases and allergic reactions to medicines before using ALLENIL TABLET.

• Try to maintain good hygiene to keep your skin clean and irritant-free.
