Ampola 625 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in children. It is used in treating infections of the skin, throat, ear, and lungs caused by bacteria. A bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria enter and grow in the body. This bacteria can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. This medicine is also used in treating infectious diarrhoea caused by various bacterial infections. Ampola 625 Tablet is effective in treating infections caused by bacteria only and does not treat viral infections like flu or a common cold.

Ampola 625 Tablet is a combination medicine containing Amoxycillin (penicillin- antibiotic), Clavulanic acid and Lactic acid bacillus (probiotic). Amoxicillin works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) and causing damage to the bacterial cell wall. This eventually leads to the death of the bacterial cell and thus prevents the growth of bacterial infections. Clavulanic acid inhibits the beta-lactamase enzyme, which prevents bacteria from destroying the efficacy of amoxicillin. Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut.

Ampola 625 Tablet may cause certain side effects in your child, such as indigestion, diarrhoea, nausea, and stomach pain. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. Ampola 625 Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose of Ampola 625 Tablet to the child. Generally, the dose of the medicine will be decided by your paediatrician depending upon the type and severity of the infection.
