AXM 250 mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia and also used to treat diarrhoea. This medicine contains amoxycillin, which works by inhibiting the protein synthesis of the bacterial cell and thereby helps fight infection-causing bacteria. This medicine is not effective for treating viral infections. Common side effects include skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gas.

AXM 250 mg Tablet belongs to a group of anti-bacterial or antibiotics known as penicillin. AXM 250 mg Tablet is used to prevent and treat different types of bacterial infections like chest infections (pneumonia, bronchitis), ear/nose/throat (ENT) infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, leg ulcers, gum ulcers, dental infections, and pressure sores. Besides this, it is also used with various antibiotics like clarithromycin to treat stomach ulcers caused by H. Pyroli bacteria.

AXM 250 mg Tablet contains Amoxycillin, which kills the bacterial cell by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the bacteria's outer layer (cell wall). In turn, AXM 250 mg Tablet weakens and destroys the bacterial cell wall. It is a broad range of antibiotics that helps in fighting various types of bacteria. 

During the treatment with AXM 250 mg Tablet , you may observe some common side effects like feeling sick (nausea) and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and are resolved over time. However, if these side effects persist, let your doctor know. 

Do not use AXM 250 mg Tablet without doctor's advice if you have a skin reaction or irritation to any medicine.
