Be TD Injection 0.5 ml is not meant to treat diphtheria or tetanus infection.
Be TD Injection 0.5 ml contains 'Diphtheria toxoid and Tetanus toxoid.' When injected into the muscle, it works by exposing the body to a small dose of bacteria or a protein from the bacteria. Thereby, it helps in providing immunity or resistance against diphtheria and tetanus diseases.
Be TD Injection 0.5 ml will be injected into the muscle by a healthcare professional. Common side effects of Be TD Injection 0.5 ml fever, crying, and loss of appetite. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor beforehand if you or your child has a history of severe allergic reactions to vaccines (paralysis, encephalopathy), immune system disorders like Guillain-Barre syndrome, HIV infection, high fever, cancers like leukaemia/lymphoma, and fits. It is essential to let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or a breastfeeding mother. The paediatric version of Be TD Injection 0.5 ml is recommended for children from 6 weeks through 6 years of age. Be TD Injection 0.5 ml is not indicated for use in infants below six weeks of age or children of 7 years of age or older.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Be TD Injection 0.5 ml may interact with immunosuppressants (cyclosporine, tacrolimus) and corticosteroids (prednisone).
