About Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml

Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml is a combination medicine used to treat an ear infection. An ear infection mainly occurs when bacteria or other microbes infect the middle ear (air-filled space behind the eardrum).

Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml contains Beclometasone (corticosteroid), Clotrimazole (antifungal), and Ofloxacin (antibiotic) as active ingredients. This medicine works by inhibiting the growth of microbes (bacteria and fungi) that are responsible for the spread of infection.

Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml may cause certain side effects, such as ear discomfort, discharge, and irritation at the application site. Inform your doctor if these effects persist or worsen. Use Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor.

Discontinue and inform your doctor if you observe any allergic reactions, and also if you are previously allergic to any of the components present in it. Directions for Use

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication, to improve effectiveness.• Lie on your side with the affected ear facing up. Hold the dropper above the ear and put in the prescribed number of drops. If needed, repeat for the other ear.• Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml is only for otic use.

Beclometasone works by blocking the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole inhibits fungi growth by causing damage to the fungal cell membrane. Ofloxacin inhibits the bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for the replication, transcription and repair of the DNA.

What if I have taken an overdose of Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml

If you accidentally put too much Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml in your Ear (s), in most cases, the drops will just run out of your Ear, so it's not cause for concern. If you think that you or someone else has swallowed any or all of the contents of Biofung+ Ear Drops 5 ml, immediately call your doctor for advice or go to your nearest hospital.
