About Botroclot Topical Solution 15 ml
Botroclot Topical Solution 15 ml belongs to the class of 'haemostatic agents' (bleeding controlling), primarily used to treat bleeding in post-operative wounds, cuts, burns, and abrasions. It can also prevent blood oozing during oral surgeries and tooth extractions. Bleeding is the loss of blood, either within or outside the body. Excess bleeding is called haemorrhage.
Botroclot Topical Solution 15 ml contains ''Hemocoagulase,'' a haemostatic enzyme. It exerts a thrombin and thromboplastin-like effect on the process of blood clotting, promoting blood clumping and coagulation and thereby effectively controlling bleeding. The thrombin acts on serum fibrinogen and converts it into stronger fibrin chains, which help tighten and retract clots, thus arresting bleeding and promoting wound healing. Applying topical hemocoagulase at the affected site reduces bleeding stoppage time, postoperative pain, and swelling.
Use Botroclot Topical Solution 15 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side effects include skin irritation at the application site. This side effect does not require medical attention and gradually resolves over time. However, if you notice any persistent side effects, please contact your doctor.
Botroclot Topical Solution 15 ml is for topical (for skin) use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
