CAMPILOX TABLET

CAMPILOX TABLET belongs to the group of medicines called 'antibiotics' used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is a 'broad-spectrum antibiotic' which treats bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, bones, lungs, and post-operative wound infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. 

CAMPILOX TABLET contains two antibiotics, namely: Ampicillin and Cloxacillin. CAMPILOX TABLET works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Thereby kills the bacteria and helps in treating and preventing bacterial infections.
 
The dose and duration of CAMPILOX TABLET may vary depending upon your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, CAMPILOX TABLET may cause common side-effects such as diarrhoea, rashes, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
 
Inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic), kidney or liver problems. Do not take CAMPILOX TABLET on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption to prevent unpleasant side-effects. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications to rule out any unpleasant side-effects/interactions.

CAMPILOX TABLET is used to treat bacterial infections. The detailed uses of CAMPILOX TABLET are as follows:

• Treatment of bacterial infections: CAMPILOX TABLET treats bacterial infections like those in the respiratory system, urinary tract, and skin.
• Relief from ear, nose and throat infections: CAMPILOX TABLET provides relief from ear, nose, and throat infections, such as sinusitis, tonsillitis, and otitis media, by fighting the underlying bacterial cause.
• Urinary tract infections: CAMPILOX TABLET is used to treat urinary tract infections by eliminating the bacteria that cause symptoms like burning sensations and frequent urination.
• Management of gastrointestinal infections: CAMPILOX TABLET can help in treating certain gastrointestinal infections, particularly those caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.
• Treatment of bone and joint infections: CAMPILOX TABLET is also involved in treating bone (osteomyelitis) and joint (septic arthritis) infections, helping to resolve these serious conditions.
• Respiratory tract infections: CAMPILOX TABLET treats respiratory tract infections, including bronchitis and pneumonia, by targeting the bacteria causing these conditions.
• Skin and soft tissue infections: CAMPILOX TABLET treats skin and soft tissue infections, such as abscesses, boils, and cellulitis, by targeting the underlying bacterial cause.
• Preoperative prophylaxis: CAMPILOX TABLET can also be used before surgery to prevent infections in patients at risk.

• Take CAMPILOX TABLET 30-60 minutes before meals as food may cause reduced absorption. 
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Swallow CAMPILOX TABLET as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

Before starting CAMPILOX TABLET, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy to any penicillin antibiotics, kidney/liver problems, infectious mononucleosis (viral infection with sore throat and fever), or leukaemia (blood cancer). Consult your doctor immediately if you experience skin rash or prolonged, significant diarrhoea with abdominal pain. Talk to your doctor before taking CAMPILOX TABLET if you had diarrhoea after taking antibiotics or inflammation of the bowel. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking CAMPILOX TABLET to prevent unpleasant side-effects.
