About Cervavac Injection 0.5 ml
Cervavac Injection 0.5 ml belongs to the class of medicines called ‘immunising agents’. It is given to individuals aged nine to twenty-six years to prevent various diseases caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Human papillomavirus (HPV) can cause genital warts, cancer of the cervix, anal cancer, and multiple cancers of the vulva or vagina.
Cervavac Injection 0.5 ml is a quadrivalent vaccine or immunising agent which is made from a live and weakened or attenuated virus (mixture of virus-like particles derived from the L1 capsid proteins of HPV types 6, 11, 16 and 18). It helps develop immunity by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies that are relevant to the disease. It is essential to take the vaccine doses as advised by the doctor to develop protection against the diseases.
